Hug your daughter....

"HUG YOUR DAUGHTER TO REVEAL GOD TO HER, NOT TO……"

LARRY CRABB

Hug your daughter to reveal God to her, not to elicit whatever it is you are requiring or wish for or of her. Love her for the sake of loving. Be a good parent, a good friend, a good employee, (this hurts me to write) simply to show God’s glory. I can say this yet am unable to walk the employee part out.

Sometimes the Bible surprises me in the stories, David a man after God’s own heart was a surprising character. He was loyal, just, and sinful. Yet God still blessed him. How does this add up? That no matter what you can be chosen? But then like Saul you can be rejected? Is the life of Christ so magnificent that it allowed us to be chosen forever, as David was? Poor Saul is it too late for him, since he lived before Christ? Do we? Even though we did not kill a giant, nor kill 10,000, nor show loyalty to a friend until the end as he did to Jonathan by honoring his son?
